Recruit players for your Pro Clubs team on FC 27: where to post, what to write, who to take

Your club has a core of six or seven players, a goalkeeper who shows up every other night and a winger who vanished when FC 27 came out. You need players, and fast. “Recruiting all positions” posts have never filled a squad. This guide covers where to post your need, what to write so that a good player answers, how to sort the ones who do, and how to run a trial that actually tells you something.

01 · Where to post

Where to post a Pro Clubs recruitment ad for FC 27

Free agents are scattered, and every place has its habits.

  • Discord servers. One channel for clubs recruiting, another for free agents. Your post gets read for an hour or two, then it slides under the next ones. Repost, but not three times a night: the mods remember.
  • Facebook recruitment groups. Posts there are long and read late. Put the date in the text: an undated post blends in with the ones still talking about FC 26.
  • Reddit and the international communities. If your club plays with people from other time zones, or after midnight, that is where the players available at those hours are.
  • The game itself. A Drop-In or a small format in The Grounds shows you how a player communicates before you invite them into an eleven-a-side club. The Clubs mode lives in The Grounds, and the captain sends the invite from the game.
  • SpotXI. You post a need: a position, a platform, a play region, a time slot, and whether it is for tonight or for the season. Only compatible players see it, and every match says why it is being suggested to you. Your contact details only travel once both sides have accepted. The app is coming to iOS and Android. In the meantime, the FC 27 leaderboards show the most active players at each position, with their match counts.

Post the same need everywhere, word for word. Then compare who answers, and how.

02 · The post

The six details a player expects

A free agent reads dozens of posts a night. They answer the ones that save them from asking questions.

  1. 01

    The position, and how many

“A centre-back and a goalkeeper” opens a conversation. “All positions” means you do not know what you are missing.

  2. 02

    The platform and the version

On FC 27, Clubs and The Grounds only run on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2. Say what your club plays on: the article on FC 27 platforms covers each case.

  3. 03

The time slots, with the time zone

Tuesday and Thursday, 9 pm to 11 pm Paris time. A player who is never around at those hours will not answer, and that is exactly what you want.

  4. 04

    The level and the ambition

Casual, or competitive with a target division. Writing “competitive” for a club that plays two nights a week scares off the good ones and attracts the ones who promise.

  5. 05

    The rules

Mic required or not, language, expected attendance, lateness. Writing them down before the trial saves you the awkward conversation afterwards.

  6. 06

    The age category

Your club takes 15 to 17 year olds, adults, or both. SpotXI is for ages fifteen and up, and the age category is visible there before any invitation.

These are the fields SpotXI asks you to fill when you post a need. To write them once and for all, take the club post template from the guide.

03 · Before the trial

How to choose among those who answer

A player who does not show up costs you an evening for ten people. Before offering a trial, look at four things.

  • Their profile

Open their profile on SpotXI: matches played this edition, position actually held, recent form. An “attacking midfielder” who has played sixty matches in defence has some explaining to do.

  • Their answer

It picks up your criteria, or it ignores them. A player applying for the position you asked for, at your hours, has read the post. The others copy-pasted.

  • Their consistency

Matches every week since the edition came out, not a burst and then nothing. The profile’s recent form shows it.

  • Their age and your rules

An age category compatible with your club, a mic if you require one. No private contact before you have said yes: on SpotXI that is the rule, elsewhere it is a good habit.

A player who asks for your personal Discord, your phone number or a guaranteed spot before the trial will waste your evening. On SpotXI, no private contact travels before both sides agree, and blocking and reporting stay private. The safety page details these rules.

04 · The trial

A trial that tells you something

  1. 01

    Set a precise slot

Thursday 9 pm, two matches. Not “one of these nights”.

  2. 02

    Give an instruction

The role you expect, in one sentence: hold the centre, press high, look for the winger. You will judge on that, not on a fluke goal.

  3. 03

    Play two matches, not one

The first tells you whether they communicate, the second whether they listen.

  4. 04

    Give feedback, either way

Yes, no, or not now, the same evening. Communities are small: a club that answers is a club people want to play for.

The guide has the list of what to check during the trial, on the club side as well as the player side.

05 · The players

Which players are looking for a club?

Many, especially early in an edition and after every update that reshuffles the deck. But a free agent is not looking for “a club”: they are looking for a position, a platform, hours and a level. On SpotXI, a player posts an availability with those four choices and only receives compatible needs. In the meantime, the leaderboards by position show who really plays, and how much.

06 · The template

A post template to copy

  • Club: we are recruiting

Competitive club, aiming for division 4 this season, looking for a centre-back and a goalkeeper. PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Matches Tuesday and Thursday 9 pm to 11 pm Paris time, sometimes Sunday. Mic required, French. Attendance expected two nights a week, let us know if you cannot make it. Players 18 and over. Two-match trial this week, instructions given before kick-off.

Eight lines, and a player knows whether to answer. The guide has the player-side version, and the article on finding a club explains what a player checks about you before saying yes. Worth knowing.

07 · Frequently asked questions

Recruiting for a Pro Clubs team on FC 27: the questions that keep coming up

  • How do you recruit players for a Pro Clubs team on FC 27?

Post a precise need, position, platform, time slots, level, rules, where free agents look, then run a two-match trial. On SpotXI, the need is posted in four choices, the trial is offered from the app and contact details are only shared once the invitation is accepted.

  • How many players do you need?

Enough to field a team at your hours, substitutes included. A core of eight players who show up beats a squad of twenty where half never come.

  • Do you need a Discord server?

Not to recruit. To play on voice and organise the evenings, most clubs have one. Keep it for your players: recruiting can happen elsewhere.

  • Can you recruit under-18 players?

SpotXI is for ages fifteen and up, and the age category, 15 to 17 or 18 and over, is visible before any invitation. Say in your post what your club takes.

  • How do you avoid players who disappear?

You will not avoid it entirely. You can reduce it: written time slots, a trial before joining, quick feedback, and attendance rules known before the first match.
